In 2005 Musica Ficta started a series of recordings for Enchiriadis about the age of the Quijote, offering some world premieres like Cancionero de Turín or Pedro Ruimonte´s Parnaso Español. Musica Ficta and Ensemble Fontegara have performed together Schütz´s Musikalische Exequien, Haendel´s Dixit Dominus, Pergolesi´s Stabat Mater, Vivaldi´s La Senna Festeggiante, Charpentier´s  Messe des morts, and some works from Purcell, Buxtehude or Bach.

At around the beginning of the American occupation of the Philippines at the turn of the 20th century, stage entertainment in the Philippines was dominated by the Spanish-influenced komedya and the newly emergent zarzuela (or " sarswela "). In order to entertain American troops stationed in the Philippines, vaudeville acts from outside the Philippines were brought in to provide entertainment. [2] As early as 1901, a leading Manila theater, the Teatro Zorilla , would promote some of these visiting vaudeville troupes as "Novelties in Manila". [2]
